Pattern of Death in a Rural Area

Abstract
|
|
|
A survey on the pattern of death in case of Nam-myon, Hwa-soon Gun was investigated for 56 deaths occurred during the past 5 years period. The results are summarized as follows:
1. The crude death rate was 14.9 per 1,000 in 5 years period. As to the duration of the period from sickness to death was mostly 1.2 months.
2. According to the classification of cause of death by WHO, it was found that I (17.8%), XVI (16.1%), IX (14.3%), VII and XVII (12.5%) were the leading causes of death in this survey.
